Cifal Bilbao organizes with success the training course on the design of the DLA in Santo Domingo

From the 8th to the 10th of October took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic the training course on the design of the Digital Local Agenda (DLA) organized by CIFAL Bilbao, International Training Centre for Local Authorities specialized in the Information Society created by the Basque Government and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)

On October 8th took place the opening ceremony of the training course on the implementation of the Digital Local Agenda in Santo Domingo. The three days course represented a meeting point for mayors and decision makers at the municipal level to receive training for the development of their own Digital Local Agenda and to present and exchange best practices developed in their territories.

The opening ceremony of the course counted on with the attendance on three Ministers of the Government of the Dominican Republic, Rafael Kutz, Delegate of the Basque Country for Venezuela and Colombia and a representative from UNITAR. Besides the theoretical part of the course given by an expert from the Basque Country on the Design of the DLA, during the course there were presented by the participants some best practices and also some success cases developed in the Basque Country related to the implementation of ICT in diverse areas.

The Minister of Public Health of the Basque Government, Mr. Gabriel Inclán made a presentation on the use of new technologies in the Basque model of Public Health and the Director of Patrimony and Contracting of the Basque Government, Mr. Jaime Domínguez Macaya, the Basque Model for Contracting and the Electronic Signature

The course organized by CIFAL Bilbao and the Presidential Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OPTIC) of the Dominican Republic, counted on with the attendance of 36 participants from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador.
