The International Awareness Workshop that took place in CIFAL Tallinn was centred on the Topic “Digital Local Agenda”, as continuation of the commitment adopted by the local authorities at the World Summit of Cities and Local Governments on the Information Society held in Bilbao in November 2005.
The objective of the workshop was to disseminate the Digital Local Agenda between representatives of the Baltic States and to help them to adopt the electronic government in order to ensure the efficiency, transparency and responsibility. The target audience was: mayors, responsible for ICT in the City Councils, representatives of the public sector, representatives of the local legislative power, International and regional development agencies, experts on ICT and organizations from the Civil Society.
The three days Workshop had the attendance of 22 participants form diverse municipalities of Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia and Ukraine.
The Workshop included presentations of experts on Digital Local Agenda and also presentations form the participants.
